Privacy policy
Last updated 15 July 2026. Short version: we collect almost nothing, we never sell anything, and only one of our two analytics tools can set a cookie.
Who we are. Prime Directive AI Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (No. 16551401). Contact: hello@primedirective.ai.
The website. primedirective.ai is a static site. We run no advertising trackers and sell no data. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard server logs (IP address, user agent) to serve and secure the site. We self-host our fonts, so loading a page sends nothing to Google.
Cookies and analytics. We measure traffic two ways, and only one of them can set a cookie.
Cloudflare Web Analytics runs on every page. It is cookieless: it stores nothing on your device and does not track you between sites, so it needs no consent and is not covered by the banner. It gives us anonymous, aggregated page counts.
Google Analytics 4 also runs on every page, but starts in a denied state under Google Consent Mode: until you press Accept it sets no cookies and sends only anonymous, aggregated signals with your IP truncated. Nothing is stored on your device. If you press Accept, GA4 sets its `_ga` cookies (typically expiring after two years) and we get fuller statistics: which pages get read, and roughly where readers come from. If you press Decline, it stays cookieless. Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage under `pdai_consent`; clear your site data to be asked again. We never enable Google signals, advertising features or remarketing, so your data is not joined to any Google advertising profile.
Our lawful basis. Consent for the GA4 cookies (PECR / UK GDPR). Legitimate interests for the cookieless, aggregated measurement, which cannot identify you.
The email list. If you subscribe, we store your email address, the page you subscribed from, and your referrer, on our own email infrastructure. We use it solely to send the updates you asked for. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you promptly. We never sell, rent or share the list.
